We offer management support services (pdf 411kb) in the single site pub and leisure market, ferries and military bases for corporate clients, SME’s, multi-tenants and individual operators. We work with all of the major UK operators and manufacturers.
The UK market has changed enormously in the last 15 years or so and the value of the “single site” market has shrunk compared to betting offices and a plethora of online gambling offers. That said, with good management a positive, and very worthwhile contribution can still be made to the bottom line from Gaming.
We have approached what we do by being able to offer something for everyone; from just calculating your MGD to full EDI data capture; operator management to inventory advice; contract negotiation to operator performance reviews. The advice we provide on Gaming is always impartial and is based on our extensive knowledge on both sides of the fence as both customer and operator. We say what we believe. We were involved in the consultations for the last Gambling Review and the more recent implementation of Machine Gaming Duty.
We are also proud to have been involved directly in the development of pub gaming digital networks and machines, which after many years of development are now working exceptionally well in the sector.

INCOME & DATA MANAGEMENT
UTILISING YOUR CLIENTS INFORMATION EFFECTIVELY
As a new client, we will set up your client hierarchy based on your operational structure to allow reporting to be delivered to key users in an appropriate way. Existing client databases are then managed to accommodate tenure changes, re-organisation of hierarchy and acquisitions and disposals.
We work with Reel Control as our data handling partner with a highly reliable, cloud based, secure system with remote access. We ensure that data is received correctly, checked, input into your database and held securely.
There’s a great deal of information on a collection slip. The key elements that we monitor are sundry payments; meter variances; hopper levels and refills; MGD and percentage payout.
At the end of each operating period we will carry out a formal operator review and provide you with minutes and action points together with a consolidated visual representation of performance and helpful comments to explain the key performance indicators.
We review the test data from manufacturers on all relevant AWP machines. We consider the indexed performance against similar machines in the peer group and in each test location. From that data, we approve machines to be purchased by operators and placed on the clients rent list.
The Waypoint mission is to efficiently use the key data well, report it on clearly, check the client understands it and support each client with independent advice, actions and training based on it.
SUPPORT FROM BEGINNING TO END
We enjoy doing different things and using our knowledge to help clients with any research or feasibility studies into the sector gaming markets. This would normally be undertaken for an agreed fixed fee.
On the training front, we can create and deliver face to face gaming training courses including our Customer Experience module for pubs and pubcos using Sales Through Service and Investors in Feedback licensed material.
The course is flexible from a half day to two full days depending on the learning needs of the attendees. It delivers not just “how to do’s”, but it shows the impact of not doing the basics well and also provides “market insight” based on our experience and challenges the attendees with our Gaming “Thinkabouts©”. We believe in going further for our clients.

USING OUR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE TO BENEFIT YOUR BUSINESS
We offer contract and supplier nomination negotiations as a separate or inclusive service as part of a support package or at the prevailing day rate.
We will discuss your commercial objectives prior to any negotiation which will include a discussion on rent or shares; analogue or digital; incentives for sites and operators; core housekeeping; quality and age of machine inventory; costs and benefits amongst other topics.
We are highly experienced in negotiations with operators and we understand the UK gaming market, the relative performance of operators, the challenges the supply chain faces and we seek to obtain sustainable win:win:win outcomes with clear service level agreements and standards of performance.
Once a supply contract is established we will manage the key performance criteria within the agreement on behalf of our client.
We will review operator performance and the key service levels including inventory, collection and change frequencies; service criteria; administration and payments. This may include visits to sites to sample operator standards and obtain feedback.
